Naming rights trend in the National Football League

The Browns’ decision to offer naming rights follows a long trend of pro football business in most NFL cities.

Here, listed alphabetically by stadium name, is a list of stadium sponsorship deals reported by Bloomberg BusinessWeek magazine:

■ Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C. — 20 years, $140 million (home of Carolina Panthers).

■ Century Link Field in Seattle — 15 years, $75 million (home of Seattle Seahawks).

■ Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis — 12 years, $31.8 million (home of St. Louis Rams).

■ EverBank Field in Jacksonville — 5 years, $16.6 million (home of Jacksonville Jaguars).

■ Farmers Field, proposed for Los Angeles in 2016 — 30 years, $700 million (there is currently no NFL team in L.A.).

■ FedEx Field in Landover, Md. — 27 years, $205 million (home of Washington Redskins).

■ Ford Field in Detroit — 20 years, $40 million (home of Detroit Lions).

■ Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass. — 15 years, $105 million (home of the New England Patriots).

■ Heinz Field in Pittsburgh — 20 years, $57 million (home of Pittsburgh Steelers).

■ Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia — 21 years, $139 million (home of Philadelphia Eagles).

■ LP Field in Nashville — 10 years, $30 million (home of the Tennessee Titans).

■ Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis — 20 years, $122 million (home of the Indianapolis Colts).

■ M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore — 15 years, $75 million (home of the Baltimore Ravens, who were the Cleveland Browns from 1946 until moving to Maryland in 1995).

■ Mall of America Field at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome — 3 years, $6 million (home of the Minnesota Vikings).

■ MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. — 25 years, $400 million (home of both the New York Giants and New York Jets).

■ O.co Coliseum in Oakland — 6 years, $7.2 million (home of the Oakland Raiders).

■ Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego — 20 years, $18 million (home of the San Diego Chargers).
