A job fair held Tuesday at the Job Center in Akron attracted more than 900 people.
Attendees were lined up outside the Job Center’s doors at 9 a.m. — an hour before the fair began — said Yolanda Rhynes, ad coordinator with the recruitment department at the Akron Beacon Journal/Ohio.com, a sponsor of the fair.
The fair — also sponsored by the Job Center and the Metro RTA bus system — featured roughly 30 employers and organizations.
Attendees presenting their resumes received free bus rides to the fair.
The next Beacon Journal Career Fair will be Jan. 28 at the center, which is at 1040 E. Tallmadge Ave.
