SDMyers of Tallmadge, which provides maintenance for power transformers and substations, has received its first NorthCoast 99 designation as one of Northeast Ohio’s Top 99 places to work.
The awards, which began in 1999, are presented annually by ERC (Employers Resource Council), a human resources organization offering members various services and programs, including salary and compensation data, consulting, insurance and job training. ERC is headquartered in Highland Heights.
SDMyers, founded in 1965, has more than 200 employees, including 36 mobile diagnostic technicians across the United States. Headquarters are at 180 South Ave., off the historic Tallmadge Circle.
The company provides transformer maintenance in the industrial and utility markets, among others. Products and services offered include testing, repair, life extension service, consulting and training.
Winners of the NorthCoast 99 award are selected on the basis of their human resources policies; employee recruiting and selection process; compensation, benefits and rewards; training and development programs; and company “culture, innovation and leadership.”
SDMyers is one of five new NorthCoast 99 organizations added to the list in 2013 and the only new Summit County company
