The Golden Arches in Munroe Falls has a new look inside.
Owner-operator Sal Baglieri said he wanted something updated from the previous baseball motif.
“We wanted a more refreshing, straightforward look,” he said.
“The lobby, restrooms and kitchen all got a makeover so we stay vibrant as a business to the community and vice versa,” said Baglieri of the location that has been at state Route 91 (or Main Street) and Munroe Falls Avenue for about 20 years.
No structural changes were made to the outside, other than some updates to lighting.
Because of space constraints for the parcel — railroad tracks run nearby — Baglieri said this McDonald’s is the only face-to-face drive-thru in Northeast Ohio, as far as he knows. That means when a customer orders, he or she is talking directly to an employee, not to an intercom.
Baglieri estimates he spent $125,000 on the renovations.
Baglieri, who also owns the McDonald’s in Hudson and Stow, said some changes are coming at the Stow location at Route 91 and Norton Road. After the new year, he will put in a double drive-thru and update the facade with a new look. About a year ago, he updated the inside. Baglieri estimates the renovations will cost $600,000 to $700,000.
