Ohio gas prices up to start workweek

COLUMBUS: Ohioans will be paying a little more for gas as the new workweek begins.

The average Monday morning was $3.38 for a gallon of regular gas in the survey from auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and WEX Inc. That’s up 9 cents from last week.

The national average Monday was $3.31, down a penny from last week. Monday’s national average is identical to the average price one year ago.

The Ohio average is 23 cents higher than a month ago, and 12 cents higher than this time last year.

The lowest average gas price in the state Monday was 3.33 in the Canton, Massillon and Youngstown areas. The highest was $3.41 in Cincinnati and Columbus.
