MEDINA: Ohio Tax Commissioner Joe Testa, in conjunction with the governor’s State of the State speech today, is holding an information session at 3:30 p.m. with local county and community leaders to deliver the latest tax news and updates on the ongoing efforts to improve Ohio’s tax climate as a catalyst for economic growth.
The meeting will be in the offices of Medina County Auditor Mike Kovack, on the third floor of the Medina County Administration Building, 144 N. Broadway St.
Testa will discuss changes in tax laws affecting small businesses, local governments and individuals paying income tax. He also will explain the economic factors behind recent tax cuts and why the continuing push to further reduce state tax rates.
Testa also will focus on state government programs and initiatives designed to assist small businesses.
He will answer questions from those attending the event, which is scheduled to last approximately one hour.
