Two entrepreneur programs will offer networking opportunities and speakers during the month.
The Greater Akron Chamber and the Entrepreneur Organization of Cleveland will host a social event from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Nov. 15 at Studio 526, at 526 Grant. St.
The program is part of a celebration of entrepreneurism as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week.
Studio 526, on Grant, south of the University of Akron and near the Thirsty Dog Brewing Co., is an event venue operated by local photographer Bruce Gates.
The Entrepreneur Organization Cleveland chapter, which was formed more than 10 years ago and now has more than 125 members, envisions helping to establish an Akron area chapter.

Separately, the public is invited to events that are part of Global Entrepreneurship Week at Kent State University Nov. 13-15.
Events will highlight the university’s entrepreneur programs and activities. Some services are available to faculty and alumni.
The start of the week’s events will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, with a keynote address, called Global Entrepreneurship — Starting Locally/Expanding Globally, by Richard Brandt, director of the Iacocca Institute at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa.
Former Chrysler CEO and President Lee Iacocca helped form the institute, which focuses on competing globally. Brandt’s talk, at the Kent Student Center Kiva, will be followed by a reception featuring representatives from student businesses.
Programs will include a talk about getting fashion garments and accessories to market, plus digital media and international entrepreneurship in Northeast Ohio.
