LEBANON, OHIO: A new racino under construction in southwestern Ohio needs to hire 500 employees and plans a job fair this week.
Miami Valley Gaming said the jobs at the Warren County track range from food and beverage service to finance, human resources and marketing.
The Middletown Journal (http://bit.ly/1bjpqOM ) reports that the racino hopes to find some of the employees at a job fair Wednesday night in Lebanon.
The $175 million project includes a harness-racing track and 186,000-square-foot facility with slots-like gaming. It opens Dec. 12.
The current Lebanon Raceway at the Warren County Fairgrounds will continue operating until the new racino opens.
Two racinos are already operating in Ohio, with several others under construction. New gambling rules allowed the state’s horse tracks to add the gambling machines.
